Founder, Learner Journey

What if your website, community, online courses and events could all generate revenue from one place?
With a Learner Journey branded workspace, you can create your own online destination and choose exactly how you want to monetise it.
You can:
Charge people to join your community
Sell access to individual online courses and learning paths
Sell tickets to events
Offer one-off payments or recurring subscriptions
Give selected staff or partners complimentary event access
Take payments directly into your own Stripe account
This means you can build much more than an LMS or an event booking site. You can create a complete branded learning and community business.
Start with a Branded Workspace
The starting point is your Learner Journey workspace.
A workspace gives your organisation its own branded environment where you can bring together your:
Website + Community + Courses + Events + Members + Payments
You can use it to publish pages and content, build online courses, run a member community, organise events and manage access to everything from one place.
This is particularly useful for membership organisations, professional associations, training providers, education organisations, charities and businesses that want to bring previously fragmented services together.
Instead of sending users between a website, LMS, community platform, event booking system and payment platform, the experience can sit within one branded Learner Journey workspace.
Step 1: Connect Stripe
Before you can start charging, you need a Stripe account.
Once you have created your Stripe account, go to:
Workspace Admin → Payments → Payment Account
You can then connect Stripe to your Learner Journey workspace.
Once connected, payments made through your workspace are sent directly to your connected Stripe account.
Your Learner Journey workspace is now ready to become a commercial platform.
Option 1: Charge People to Join Your Community
One of the simplest models is to charge for access to the workspace itself.
Go to:
Workspace Admin → Payments → Workspace Pricing
Switch on Enable Paid Access.
You can then decide how members should pay.
One-time access
Charge somebody once for access to the workspace.
This could work well for a private professional community, alumni network, specialist knowledge hub or programme that provides ongoing access after an initial payment.
Monthly subscription
Alternatively, turn your workspace into a recurring membership.
For example, you could charge:
£4.99 per month
Members then pay a recurring monthly subscription to retain access.
This opens up an interesting model for professional associations and membership organisations because the workspace itself becomes the membership product.
Inside it, you can continually add new content, discussions, resources, learning and events.
Option 2: Sell Individual Online Courses
You don’t have to put everything behind the workspace subscription.
Individual learning paths can have their own pricing.
When creating or editing a learning path, go to Pricing and enable:
Charge for this path
You can then choose between:
One-off payment — the learner pays once and receives ongoing access.
Monthly subscription — the learner pays a recurring fee for continued access.
For example, you might have a community that costs £4.99 per month but offer a specialist professional development course for an additional £19.99.
When a member tries to access the learning path, Learner Journey prompts them to purchase it.
This allows you to create a catalogue of premium learning products inside your community.
Option 3: Sell Event Tickets
The third revenue stream is events.
Learner Journey includes event management and ticketing, allowing you to create paid events within your branded workspace.
These might include:
Conferences
CPD sessions
Workshops
Webinars
Networking events
Training days
Masterclasses
In-person events
Attendees can register and purchase tickets, with payments handled through your connected Stripe account.
This means you don’t necessarily need a separate event ticketing platform alongside your learning and community system.
Give Staff and Partners Free Event Tickets
Sometimes you want to sell tickets publicly while allowing your own staff or selected partner organisations to attend free of charge.
Learner Journey supports this through Free Event Tickets by Email Domain.
Within your payment settings, you can add approved domains such as:
yourorganisation.co.uk
or
partnerorganisation.org
Anyone registering for a paid event using an email address from an approved domain receives a complimentary ticket and skips payment.
This can be particularly useful for organisations running partnerships, membership networks or internal staff development alongside public events.
Build Multiple Revenue Streams in One Workspace
The real opportunity comes from combining these different models.
Imagine a professional membership organisation with a branded Learner Journey workspace.
It could charge:
£4.99/month for community membership.
Inside the community, it could sell a specialist course for £49.
It could then run a conference with tickets at £95.
And throughout the year it could launch additional workshops, courses and learning programmes.
Rather than treating membership, learning and events as separate systems, they become different products within the same ecosystem.
A Freemium Model Is Possible Too
You don’t necessarily have to charge everybody for everything.
You could keep your workspace free and use the community to build an audience.
Members could access discussions, selected resources and introductory learning for free.
You could then monetise through premium courses and paid events.
Alternatively, you could charge for membership but include selected learning and events as part of that membership.
This gives organisations considerable flexibility in how they design their commercial model.
From LMS to Learning Marketplace
This changes the role of a learning platform.
Instead of simply uploading courses and tracking completions, you can create an entire commercial learning ecosystem.
Your organisation can have its own branded destination where people:
Discover → Join → Learn → Participate → Attend → Pay → Return
And because your website, community, learning and events are connected, you can build a much more coherent experience around the individual.
One Platform, Three Ways to Generate Revenue
With Learner Journey, there are three straightforward ways to monetise your branded workspace:
1. Membership revenue
Charge for access to the workspace and community through a one-off payment or monthly subscription.
2. Learning revenue
Sell individual learning paths and online courses separately.
3. Event revenue
Sell tickets to conferences, workshops, webinars, CPD and other events.
All three can operate together, with payments flowing through your connected Stripe account.
For training providers, associations, membership organisations and professional communities, that means Learner Journey can become more than the place where people learn.
It can become the place where your entire learning and membership business operates.
