Central consistency versus school autonomy
A trust's central team wants every school to run the same safeguarding refresher, attend the same leadership programme and evidence it the same way. Each school wants to run its own INSET, keep its own identity and not log in to something that looks like head office.
Most platforms force a choice: one giant tenant where every school's staff see everyone else's content, or separate systems that cannot report together.
One workspace per school, one trust across them
In Learner Journey each school is a workspace with its own members, branding, calendar and content. Pro accounts can run up to twenty. The trust team publishes cross-school events — a trust-wide INSET, a subject network meeting — that staff from any school can register for, and builds learning paths once for assignment wherever they are needed.
Attendance is recorded at check-in and certificates are issued per attendee, so a trust event produces a record for each school. Learning-path completion is reported per path within each workspace, and every report exports to CSV for the central team to combine.

- Is there one trust-wide dashboard across all schools?
- Reporting is per workspace today: each school's compliance report covers its own staff and exports to CSV, and the trust combines them. A single cross-workspace dashboard is on our roadmap, not something we ship yet.
- How many schools can a trust run?
- The Pro plan includes up to twenty workspaces. Contact us if your trust is larger.
- Can staff from one school attend another school's event?
- Yes, if the event is published as public or the staff member is invited. Internal-only events stay within their own workspace.
- Can each school use its own domain?
- Yes. Each workspace can sit on a Learner Journey subdomain or on a custom domain you verify; our team attaches the domain once verification passes.
