    For schools

An AI tutor for schools that only knows what you have taught it

The worry about AI in schools is the open internet: an assistant that answers anything, from anywhere, to anyone. Learner Journey's tutor is the opposite. It answers from the school's own workspace — the policies, the staff training, the published courses — cites the page it used, and refuses what falls outside the guardrails you set.

    • Answers only from your workspace content, with citations
    • Blocked topics, moderation and custom instructions per workspace
    • Aware of each learner's progress and recent mistakes
    • Every conversation logged for the workspace admin

    Useful, but not trustworthy

General AI assistants are genuinely useful and impossible to sign off. Nobody can say what they will answer, from what source, or whether a Year 10 will get homework help or something else entirely. So schools either ban them or quietly tolerate them, and staff get no benefit from AI on the school's own material either.

A tutor with a fence around it

Learner Journey's AI Tutor is grounded in the workspace it lives in. Ask "what does our behaviour policy say about phones?" and it searches the school's pages, answers, and cites the page — so the reader can check. It can see the learner's own progress, quiz history and recent mistakes, so a member of staff working through the safeguarding path gets help specific to where they are. Workspace admins set blocked topics, custom instructions and moderation; the tutor declines what falls outside them, and conversations are logged.

Today the tutor is used mainly for staff: policy questions, CPD support, practice questions on a training path. For pupils, the same fence applies — but the school decides what content is in the workspace and who can access it.

    What you get

    Grounded in your content

The tutor searches your pages and learning paths and answers from them. It does not browse the web.

    Cited answers

Every answer links to the page it came from, so staff can verify and pupils learn to check sources.

    Guardrails per workspace

Blocked topics, custom instructions and moderation, set by the workspace admin. The tutor declines out-of-scope questions.

    Learner-aware

Sees the learner's progress, quiz history and recent mistakes; suggests the next step; runs practice questions.

    Logged and reportable

Conversations and usage are visible to the workspace admin, with tutor analytics on what people ask.

    Content built with AI too

Draft the courses and quizzes the tutor will answer from — from the school's own documents — with the same AI.

    Built from Learner Journey modules

      Set the guardrails

Blocked topics, instructions, moderation — per workspace.

    3. 3

      Switch it on

Staff ask questions from any page; answers cite the source.

    4. 4

      Support the path

On a training path the tutor knows where each person is and what they got wrong.

    5. 5

      Review

Admins see conversations and what is being asked.

    Frequently asked questions

Can the tutor browse the internet?
No. It answers from the content in your workspace and cites the page it used. Questions outside the workspace content or the guardrails are declined.
    Is it suitable for pupils?
The tutor is used mainly for staff today. The same grounding and guardrails apply to any workspace member, so a pupil-facing use depends on the school deciding what content is published and who has access. Learner Journey is not a pupil-facing classroom system.
    Who can see the conversations?
Workspace admins, through the tutor analytics. Learners see their own history.
    What does it cost?
The tutor uses AI credits included with each plan. A school can start on the free plan; Premium and Pro add advanced models and larger allowances.
