Generate an image from a description
Describe what you want and choose a style — photo-realistic, illustration, 3D render, watercolour or minimal — and an aspect ratio to suit where it is going. Three image models are available, from a fast everyday one to a sharper model that renders text properly. You can also attach up to four reference images to steer the look rather than trying to describe it.
Magic Edit: say what you want changed
Open any photo in your library and describe the edit in a sentence. Remove the background, take out the object nobody wants in shot, change the season outside the window, turn it black and white. No masks, no layers and no selecting things pixel by pixel — you write the change and get the photo back with it made.
The ordinary edits, still there
Not everything needs a model. Crop to any of seven ratios or leave the photo its original shape, rotate, flip, and adjust brightness, contrast and saturation, with black and white, warm, cool and vintage presets a click away. Opening the editor to nudge the brightness never silently crops your photo, which is more than can be said for most editors.
Blur or replace faces before you publish
Photographs of real people carry a consent problem, and it usually surfaces after publication. Two presets handle it: blur every face irreversibly, or replace each one with an entirely synthetic face that matches the original age, expression, lighting and head angle so the photo still looks natural. The replacement faces resemble nobody — there is no way to substitute a specific person's face, and that is deliberate.
A private library, shared on your terms
Everything you upload or generate goes into your own private library rather than a public bucket. Search it, sort it, switch between grid and list, and share individual photos with specific people at the access level you choose. Generated images save back to the same place, so what the AI made sits alongside what your camera did.
How it works
- 1
Upload or generate
Bring your own photographs in, or describe an image and let the AI make one for your library.
- 2
Edit it
Describe a change for Magic Edit to make, or crop, rotate and adjust it by hand.
- 3
Use it anywhere
Drop images into courses, pages, posts, slides and whiteboards, or share them with your team.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Magic Edit?
- It edits an existing photo from a written instruction. You describe the change — remove the background, take out that sign, make it black and white — and the edited image comes back, with no masking or layer work involved.
- Can I generate images in a particular style or shape?
- Yes. Pick from photo-realistic, illustration, 3D render, watercolour or minimal, set the aspect ratio, and attach up to four reference images if you would rather show the look than describe it.
- Can I anonymise people in a photo?
- Yes. You can irreversibly blur every face, or replace each face with a synthetic one that keeps the original age range, expression and lighting so the photo still reads naturally. The synthetic faces do not resemble the original person or any real person.
- Are my photos public?
- No. Your library is private by default. Individual photos are shared deliberately, with the people you choose and at the access level you set.
- Where can I use the images afterwards?
- Anywhere in the platform — course pages, site pages, posts, slide decks and whiteboards — as well as downloading them to use elsewhere.
