Year 4 History Podcast

Hello Year 4, and welcome to our History Podcast! This year, we’ll be travelling through time to explore some of the most exciting periods from the past. We’ll begin by discovering Ancient civilisations, such as Ancient Egypt, and learning how people lived thousands of years ago. We’ll look at what came before recorded history, including the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age, and how life slowly changed over millions of years. We’ll explore the Romans, and find out how they invaded and settled in Britain. We’ll meet the Anglo-Saxons and Scots, learning where they came from and why they moved to Britain. We’ll uncover the world of the Vikings and explore how they raided, traded, and settled. And we’ll study a local history topic, discovering important people, places, and events from our own area. Each week, we’ll jump into a new story from the past—full of adventures, mysteries, inventions, and discoveries.
