Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (ages 11-18).
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Maths curriculum, ensuring it is stimulating and meets the needs of all learners.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, resilience, and a love for learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Undertake pastoral duties, providing guidance and support to students as a form tutor.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the school.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent.
- A relevant degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Maths at Secondary School level, up to and including A-level (or equivalent).
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and innovative teaching methods.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required.
